Santi Cazorla wants to return to Spain.

But don’t panic, he’s not off anywhere just yet.

Speaking to the media in Spain, the diminutive little wizard, revealed his love for his first club, Real Oviedo, and a desire to wear their shirt once more.

“[Real Oviedo is] the team of which I was, I am, and will be a supporter of for all of my life.

“It’s where I grew up, I learned a lot as a player and I wish I could wear that shirt. In the short term it will be difficult, but hopefully in a few years it can be fulfilled.”

Under contract with Arsenal until 2017, Santi has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, somewhere he has no intention of going.

Although he will be 32 when his contract expires, I wouldn’t rule out the club giving him an extension of some sort, especially as he seems to be getting better rather than dimming with age.
