Arsenal ladies will not be retaining the FA Cup this season after they lost at home 1-2 to Chelsea on Sunday.

Going two goals down in the first half, the Gunners pulled one back close to the break thanks to Emma Mitchell’s curled effort but they were unable to save the game in the second half despite making two changes at the break.

Lianne Sanderson replace Vicky Losada while Natalia Pablos Sanchon was replaced by Chioma Ubogagu.

It was a poor first half from Arsenal which cost them the tie, failing to hit their stride in the first 45. Despite a second half improvement, they were unable to fashion many clear-cut chances and saw their Cup hopes ended.
