It makes a change for the opposition to lose players while Arsenal gain them.

But that seems to be the case ahead of the crunch game against Liverpool at the Emirates after the international break.

With Martin Skrtel being handed a three-match ban for following his captain’s lead and stamping his way around the pitch against United, Arsenal are could welcome back Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the game.

The reports appeared in the press on Wednesday and it seems as if the news is not 100% confirmed just yet but the quad are closing in on a return from their various ailments.

Wilshere has been out for four months since he was crippled by Manchester United’s Paddy McNair while the captain has missed five with a calf problem.

Debuchy has been sidelined since 11th November when he met an Orc while the Ox pulled his hamstring more recently.

Of the four players, the Ox is the biggest doubt. While targeting the Liverpool game, the following match against Burnley is perhaps a more realistic target.
