Arsenal travel to Old Trafford on Monday night for their FA Cup quarter final tie.

Looking to end the hoodoo that lot hold over us, how will the Gunners lineup?

Well, we know that Wojceich Szczesny will come back into the side provided he has sufficiently recovered from the illness that kept him out of the squad midweek.

At the back, Hector Bellerin will retain his place as will Kieran Gibbs due to Nacho Monreal’s back strain that has sidelined the Spaniard recently. Although Nacho undertook a fitness test, I’d be very surprised to see him start ahead of the fitter Gibbs.

Per Mertesacker will start alongside Laurent Koscielny who almost got a rest until Gabriel twanged his hamstring at Loftus Road.

In the middle, Francis Coquelin will sit in front of the backline while Santi Cazorla will look to continue his splendid form, then we run into some problems.

Will Arsene Wenger opt for the stylish, yet lightweight option of pairing him with Mesut Ozil or will Aaron Ramsey come back into the squad after returning from injury? Bringing in Ramsey means shifting Mesut wide and that, in turn, would mean no space for either Danny Welbeck or Theo Walcott.

While I wasn’t expecting to see Theo start, I did wonder if Welbeck would be given the chance the shine against the side that discarded him in the summer, but feel that Wenger will opt to have Ramsey’s engine in midfield ahead of the Englishman’s industry out wide.

With Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud completing the lineup it’s hard not to be confident.

Of course, none of this takes into consideration the collective brainfart our squad is prone to up there.

But that has to change sometime, right?
