Mesut Ozil has been in the form of his Arsenal career since his return from injury earlier this year.

Picking up a knee problem in October that ruled him out for three months, the German has been explaining how he worked to improve himself when he was laid up in order to stop any future problems.

Coming back into the side looking bigger and better than ever, it is clear the work he has done and he is a credit to himself as he looks to improve his weaker areas, such as physical strength, so that he can best perform in this league.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, Mesut said

“I wanted to be as fit as possible when I returned after my injury,” Ozil said. “I worked on my upper body as well as paying attention to my nutrition.

“I underwent treatment to get myself fit as soon as possible and to prevent the injury from returning. I’m on a good path now.

“I worked really hard and I think it shows in training and in matches that I’m fresher. I’m really happy to be back on the pitch and able to do what I most love.”

You can certainly see his happiness at being back on the pitch and that is showing in his performances, no matter what the so-called experts try to tell us.

Hopefully he will be able to work his magic in Monaco on Tuesday night where Arsenal will need all the creative genius at their disposal to be on song at the same time if they are to stand any chance of making the Champions League quarter final.
