Jon Toral is hoping to get himself a new Arsenal deal.

With his current contract expiring in the summer, the midfielder, who has been plagued by injuries during his short career is hoping that club take up their option to extend his deal now that he has shown he is injury-free.

He is certainly doing his cause no harm with his performances this season for Brentford where he is on loan with their manager, Mark Warburton, stating that he believes the Spanish youngster would be more than capable of playing in the Premier League.

So far, in 28 Championship games this season, he has grabbed six goals and two assists.

Getting 13 minutes for the Bee’s at Blackburn on Tuesday night, Toral was a second half substitute and laid off the pass that allowed Brentford to take the lead for the first time in the game in the 84th minute.

Having gone behind twice, Brentford showed great spirit to win the game 3-2 and maintain their race for one of the play-off spots. They currently occupy the final position with 65 points, seven points off second place and automatic qualification but only one above seventh-placed Ipswich.
