The Arsenal midfielder scored a lovely looping header to give his country the lead and set them on their way to a 3-0 win in Israel. Dedicating his goal and the win to his Nan who passed away recently, he was clearly emotional when asked to speak about it.

Speaking after the game to a reporter who called him ‘Alan’, Rambo said “It was a great performance from the boys, we came here believing we could get a result and we managed to do it.

“We kept ourselves in the game, we defended really well and obviously got the goal before halftime and then it opened up a bit more.

About the goal specifically, Aaron said “I shut my eyes and got my head on it and thankfully it went in.”
