Arsenal changes lives.

Signing for the Gunners in January, Gabriel has landed his first Brazil call-up just months after arriving and it is a call-up that means a lot to both him and his whole family.

Speaking to the press ahead of Brazil’s game against Chile, the centreback is planning to seize his opportunity and nail down a starting place in Dunga’s side.

Gabriel said

“I am fulfilling the dream. When I gave the news to my father he cried.”

Brought to Arsenal to rival Per Mertesacker in the starting lineup, his immense performance at Newcastle in the weekend was integral to Arsenal holding onto all three points after the side faded badly in the second half.

Coming back strongly after his hamstring injury, Gabriel will be looking to cement his place in Arsenal’s starting lineup as well as Brazil’s and the initial signs seem to show that this is something that he will have no trouble doing.
