Arsenal had been expected to announce a pre-season tour to India this summer.

That, however, has given way to a trip to Singapore and, if reports coming out of Thailand are to be believed, a trip there too.

The reason for change of heart has got something to do with time restrictions and it seems like the Gunners could just play one game in Thailand as they continue to target Asia as a breeding ground for new fans while the rest of the Premier League try to carve up the States.

According to a report in the Bangkok post, Thanathip Sawangsaeng, spokesman of the Thai Premier League, claimed that Arsenal representatives had been in touch with the league in order to arrange a match against an All-Star Thai team on July 20th, just two days after the final game in Singapore at the Barclays Asia Trophy.

Sawangsaeng added

“Details will be finalised soon.”
