Arsenal have made an offer for want-away Palermo forward Paulo Dybala according to his club’s president.

Arsenal have been linked heavily with a move for the player who has refused to sign a new deal with the Italian side and is looking for a big move in the summer.

With Juventus also placing an offer on the table for the £30m+ rated player, things aren’t likely to progress too quickly, however, as the player would prefer to remain in Italy.

Speaking to Radio Marte, a station in Italy, Mauro Zamparini, who has been in the press regularly regarding Dybala, said “Juventus and Arsenal have already made the offerings, Pierpaolo Triulzi, the boy’s agent, will be in Italy on Friday.

“My request is more than 40 million euros. Dybala would prefer to stay in Italy, but among the English clubs Arsenal is the first choice of the boy for the way he plays the team coached by (Arsene) Wenger.”

With Arsenal looking like they will lose at least one, if not more, forwards in the summer, it’s understandable that they are looking for a replacement, especially for Lukas Podolski.

I don’t think anyone expected us to splash this sort of money on one, however.

Look at us spending all the monies! How exciting.
