Arsenal LFC have drawn Chelsea Ladies at home in the FA Women’s Cup quarter-finals.

The tie is to be played on the 12th of April at Borehamwood FC.

The other ties will see title favourites Man City Women at home to Birmingham City Ladies who eliminated the League holders Liverpool.

Notts County Ladies continue their lucky run in the draw by playing WSL2 side Aston Villa after getting a third level team in the previous round. T

he final game will see Everton or Bristol Academy at home to WPL Southern (third level) Charlton Women, who were one of old rivals before the Women’s Super League was created back in 2011.

An emphatic win for the Ladies in the FA Cup fifth round despite missing a lot of players though injury – Sampson, Bailey, Yankey and Smith were not available while Ubogagu is still in the USA at the moment.

The starting 11 was Byrne, Scott, Stoney, Rose, Mitchell, Losada, Nobbs, Humphrey, Sanderson, Carter, Pablos Sanchon. 

Pedro Losa gave an Arsenal debut to Jemma Rose, Vicky Losada, Natalia Pablos Sanchon and Carla Humphrey. Lianne Sanderson made a welcome return to Arsenal Ladies in a domestic competition having already played in the Nestle Cup in Japan.

The goalscorers on Sunday were Danielle Carter (hat-trick), Lianne Sanderson, Carla Humphrey (who scored on her first team debut), Natalia Pablos Sanchon and Jordan Nobbs.

It is quite interesting to note that all the outfield players on the bench were U19 youngsters alongside Siobhan Chamberlain.

Alice Hassall, Evie Clarke and Leah Williamson were all born in 1997 while Taome Oliver was born in 1996.

If you add the reserve captain, Frances Steele also born in 1996 and Chloe Kelly who has scored in pre-season and was born in 1998, there are a lot of young players from the development side who will be pushing for a place in the first team soon.

Pedro Losa gave a first team debut as a sub to Evie Clarke and a second-ever game for Taome Oliver while Leah Williamson also came on as a sub.

With a lot of players called up for the first team game against Millwall, a very young development team beat Watford Ladies development team by three goals to one.

They are second in the Southern Division in the Development League, five points behind Chelsea having played an extra game.

They are out of the FA WSL Decelopment League Cup after losing to Sunderland away in the previous week.

Center Of Excellence U17 team: Brighton 0 Arsenal Ladies 2

The U17 carry on their excellent form with two nil away win at Brighton.

They are top of the league, twelve points ahead of Chelsea U17 having played two extra games.

They will play the FA Girls Youth Cup final against Aston Villa with the date and place TBC.
