The police have arrested a teenager after he allegedly sent racist abuse to Danny Welbeck.

The boy, 15, allegedly tweeted the slur at the Arsenal frontman after he scored the winner against his former side, Manchester United, in the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford last week.

Held and questioned by police in suspicion of sending the offensive message on 9 March, he has been released on police bail.

A spokesman for Wilsthire police said in a statement

“A 15-year-old male from the Salisbury area was arrested on the evening of March 12 on suspicion of racial abuse. He has been released on police bail until April 13. The investigation is ongoing.”

Obviously nothing has been proven at this point but it’s clear to see with your own eyes the amount of abuse that gets sent online by people who are clearly too stupid to realise that you simply cannot do that sort of stuff.
