Sources in Italy have suggested that Lukas Podolski might be on his way back to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport, the World Cup winner, currently on loan at Internazionale will not be signed on a permanent basis come June.

Podolski was well known at Arsenal for his lack of workrate and defensive cover yet many blamed Arsene Wenger for not using him enough.

He was regularly leaving his full-back in two-versus-one situations and was therefore a regular on the Arsenal bench.

Internazionale have just signed Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munchen and are reportedly looking to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from PSG. The Argentine forward looks on his way out from Paris after being suspended and fined for taking an extended winter break alongside Endinson Cavani.

With plenty of options up front at his disposal, it would be a surprise to see Arsene Wenger give Podolski another chance in 2015/16 and as he finds minutes increasing hard to come by in Italy, it gets harder to think that Wenger was anything other than right in how he handled the situation.

At least we know that the Emirates Stadium seats are heated and very comfortable should he stay at Arsenal, I am not sure the San Siro ones are to the same standard.
