Chris Willock has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Willock, one of three footballing brothers (Joe is also at Arsenal while Matthew, who is older, plays for Manchester United) is a forward/winger of whom big things are expected.

He can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Making an appearance for the senior side in pre-season just after he signed scholarship terms, Arsene Wenger said after the game

“He’s a very young boy and I wanted him to have a run-out with the big boys to see how much he has to do.

“But technically and tactically he integrated very well. Of course it’s natural that he lacks a bit of power at that age but when he gets that he will be a very interesting player.”

Willock is currently in Doha where he is representing Arsenal at the Al Kass International Cup [watch highlights of Al Kass here].  Arsenal u17's Al Kass International Cup

Signing just after he turned 17, he was ‘delighted’ and rightly so, having been at the club since he was just eight as you can see from his tweet below.
