Wellington Silva enjoyed something of a productive weekend.

The 22-year-old Brazilian, who has struggled since his move to Europe, has been settling more with every passing season that’s starting to show, not only in the time he is getting on the pitch, but in the performances he is now starting to display.

Winning 2-1 at Cordoba, Wellington’s assists were key to the Spanish side taking all the points.

Signing for Arsenal in 2011 for £3.5m – in a deal that was actually agreed in 2009 but delayed due to his age – Wellington will be eligible to play in the Premier League next season after being told in October that he had been granted a work permit.
