Aaron Ramsey is progressing well on his rehab.

The goalscoring midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the home game against Leicester, when he replaced Theo Walcott after 73 minutes, only to be replaced himself after 82 minutes.

Initial fears were bad, as it’s far from the first such injury Aaron has suffered recently, but it turns out it is only a Grade one tear, and our box-to-box man should be back with us soon.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, Arsene confirmed that the midfielder is still on course for a three week rehabilitation period.

He said:

“Ramsey is still out. He is nine days into his three week rehab.”

While Arsenal miss Rambo’s gutbusting runs from deep, Santi Cazorla has shown in recent weeks his ability to do the hard graft in that deeper midfield role alongside Francis Coquelin.

It should mean that as and when Aaron is fit and healthy again, he can be eased back into action. We have a busy period coming up through to the next international break, with games every three to four days, and it will be more important to get our FA Cup final hero fully fit so that the squad can be rotated than it is to rush him back as soon as possible.

So rest up, Aaron, and get ready for the business end of the season. After all, doing the business is what you do best!
