Everyone loves Hector.

And Hector loves everyone.

And what’s not to like?

He’s young, quick, more than decent at his job and improving every week.

Plus he, apparently, can score beautiful goals as well.

Netting his first-ever Arsenal goal and Arseanl’s fifth on the day against Aston Villa, the Spaniard spoke to Arsenal.com were he sounded like he was picking up an award for Best Fullback in a Foreign Language.

You would be exactly the same.

Hector told the site

“It was an amazing feeling.

“It’s my first professional goal so I’m really happy. Thanks to all my team-mates, all the coaches and all the fans for the support they’ve given me. I’m really happy and really pleased for the team.”

Capping off what was yet another stellar display, the pacey fullback has really stepped up his game this season and has proven himself to be more than adequate cover for Mathieu Debuchy who will be sidelined for some time to come.

While it’s unlikely that the youngster will retain his spot in the starting lineup when the Frenchman returns, one this is for sure – Carl Jenkinson’s days at the club may be well and truly numbered.
