Serge Gnabry made his return for the under-21’s against Newcastle on Monday night.

The German, who, bar a brief appearance earlier this season, has been out since March last year.

Speaking last week Arsene Wenger had confirmed that the pacey wide-man would play for the u21’s and he started the game which saw the Arsenal youngsters win 2-1.

Wenger had also stated that Krystian Bielik would be involved in the game but, after training with the first team on Monday, he was not included in the u21 squad prompting speculation that he could be set to be involved in some fashion against Leicester at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

Getting 65 minutes under his belt, the u21’s won thanks to goals from Alex Iwobi and Austin Lipman.
