Arsenal continue their preseason preparations with a trip to Kent to face Millwall Lionesses on Sunday.

Opposition preview

Founded in 1971, Millwall Lionesses are a team with a rich history.

They have won the FA Women’s Cup twice, in 1991 and 1997 and theyplay their games at the Den or at Beckenham Town which is where Sunday’s friendly will take place.

They are well-known for being a strong and physical side that will always give the opposition a good challenge.

Match preview

This is another friendly for the Ladies against a WSL 2 side and they will face each other again in July in an FA WSL Continental Cup group A game.

After the draw v Aston Villa and a win against Doncaster Belles last Sunday, the Ladies will want to carry on with their unbeaten pre-season.

This will be a solid test of the team’s fitness and cohesion before the early stages of the season get under way.

The remaining friendlies planned are Derby away on the 25th February and Yeovil at home on the 15th March.

The first competitive game of the season will be in the FA Cup on the 22nd March.
