Santi Cazorla was delighted with Arsenal’s win against Palace and has hailed Olivier Giroud.

The Frenchman found the net once again on Saturday, his 50th goal for Arsenal in less time than it took Didier Drogba to reach the same milestone at Chelsea and become a club legend.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, the midfield Maestro, who was once again in great form in the middle of the pitch said of Giroud

“He’s very important for us in these games, because we sometimes need to play long balls.

“He can keep the ball and [draw] fouls, and he’s a good header of the ball.

“He’s in a good moment and I hope he’ll continue to play the same way.”

Cazorla was also happy with how Arsenal worked and defended as a team against a resolute and committed Crystal Palace side who put in one of their best displays of the season and were lucky not to come away from the game with at elast a point

He continued

“It was a very good three points for us.

“It was a difficult game on a very difficult pitch. The team fought together and we need to play the same in the next game.

“In these games it’s always very important to focus, because there are a lot of long balls, free-kicks and set-pieces. We only had problems [with that] in the last two or three minutes but the team today defended very well.”
