Arsenal have all-but sealed the deal for Legia Warsaw’s young midfielder Krystian Beilik.

The 17-year-old is expected to arrive in London on Friday to undergo his Arsenal medical before the move can be finalised.

He player, who is being purchased with one eye on the future, will not be thrown straight into the first team despite some reports. Rather, Arsenal have presented him with a three-year lan to get him into the senior squad and there doesn’t seem to be much reason to think they’ve changed their mind on this, even with Mikel Arteta’s injury now ruling him out until the middle of April.

Legia Warsaw made the announcement about the medical on their website and said

Krystian Bielik will have a medical in Arsenal on Friday. ‘I’m going to London to fulfill my dreams. I hope I will become an Arsenal player soon,’ the 17-year-old midfielder said to legia.com.

Bielik came to Legia before the start of the 2014-15 season. Since then he had six appearances in our Club’s official games – five in Polish T-Mobile Ekstraklasa and one in Europa League. In the past Bielik played for junior teams of Górnik Konin and Lech Poznań.
