Hector Bellerin is a doubt for Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Brighton.

The full-back is currently struggling with an ankle injury and underwent a fitness test on Thursday.

Wenger is, however, optimistic that the Spaniard will be fit enough to be included in the squad.

He told the media at his press conference

We have some uncertainties about Oxlade-Chamberlain and Bellerin but they will have tests today and Bellerin should be available. Oxlade-Chamblerlain, I’m not sure.

Bellerin is an ankle problem.

Bellerin has been enjoying his most fruitful season at the club since his arrival from Barcelona alongside Jon Toral in 2011.

Standing in for Mathieu Debuchy who will be missing for the next three months with a dislocated shoulder picked up after sharing the pitch with some Orcs, Bellerin has put in some very strong performances, most notably against Manchester City last weekend.

With Theo Walcott in line to start at the Amex on Sunday it would be quite something to see both players occupy the same side of the pitch but it is likely we could see Chambers deployed at right-back unless Wenger plans on resting one of his centrebacks.
