According to a report coming out of Spain, former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes wants to bring Joel Campbell to Real Sociedad on loan with an eye on making it permanent.

The Basque paper Noticias de Gipuzkoa claims that the Spanish side have already been in touch with Arsenal regarding a deal but that Arsene Wenger turned it down last week.

At this point, with Lukas Posdolski already gone and Yaya Sanogo close to the exit it would be total carnage if Arsenal were to let Joel Campbell leave as well, despite the fact that he never gets to play.

That is, of course, unless the club have plans to bring in another forward but I very much doubt that.

There is always the option that Chuba Akpom has been making massive strides behind the scenes but it would still be an unbelievable move for Arsenal to allow three forwards to leave the club in the middle of the season.

Wenger has also said many times that he wants the Costa Rican to stay but, as we’ve already seen in this window, that means nothing as he also wanted Podolski to stay.

It is believed that Campbell has had a number of offers from the Premier League and Greece where he spent a successful season on loan last year.
