After officially signing as an Arsenal player this week, Krystian Bielik will not be involved against Brighton in Arsenal’s fourth round FA Cup tie on Sunday.

There had been some speculation that the youngster could be thrown straight into the side, but Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Pole will not take any part.

He said

“He has only just come from Poland so he is not fit because they had a winter break. He won’t play.”

When the links to Bielik first surfaced it had been claimed in Poland that Arsenal had presented the midfielder with a three-year plan for getting him into the first squad.

Now, however, it seems as if he is set to go straight into the squad although we are likely to see him feature for the youth team as Arsenal work on getting his fitness levels up to those required in the Premier League.

Compared to Patrick Vieira, the 6’2” player is an exciting prospect and everyone at Daily Cannon is excited about seeing him play in an Arsenal shirt for the first time. When that will be, however, we’re not quite sure.
