Not much news this week but there was one story with the ladies letting Christine Murray leave the club.

The Scotland international played in all of ladies matches in last season’s successful FA Cup run after only arriving at the club at the start of the 2014 season.

He contract expired and was not renewed. It is not clear why.

Other news

The first team have now come back to training and have undergone the usual pre-season fitness testing.

Arsenal have announced four games against FA WSL 2 teams and one FA WPL Northern Division team in order to prepare for the upcoming season:

Aston Villa Ladies (FA WSL 2) v Arsenal Ladies (3G pitch)

Kick-off 2pm at Sutton Coldfield Town FC, Coles Lane, Sutton Coldfield, B72 1NL.

This game will be played during the FIFA-reserved dates for international teams with England playing against the USA on Friday 13th February so the England players may not be available if they are already at the international camp.

International call-ups

Nine players have been called up for the England  U19  camps.

Leah Williamson, Carla Humphrey and Vyan Sampson have been named by the club but the other six players were not named.

The camp is divided into two groups with Group 1 playing a behind-closed-door-friendly against Norway.

Williamson, Humphrey and Sampson are in group 1 (mainly born 96-97) alongside Frances Steele, while the remaining five unnamed players are in Group 2 (younger players)

CoE U17

The girls won their League Game 9-0 against Brighton

Reserves team

They played a friendly v FC Basel on Saturday and Drew 1-1.
